Size of Akagera National Park is approximately 1,120kmĀ² and is one of Africa's oldest National Parks, first gazetted in 1934. The Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania and it's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah.
